Sunday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. The Mankato MoonDogs walked it off against the Bismarck Larks 6-5. The Duluth Huskies walked off the Eau Claire Express 10-9 in a thrilling, high-scoring showdown.

Lakeshore 13, Wisconsin Rapids 4

The Lakeshore Chinooks rolled past the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 13-4 using a big sixth inning. Dylan Sayles (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double, recording five RBIs, and two runs scored. David Mysza (UCLA) went 2-for-4 with a triple, driving in two runs and scoring twice. Jack Counsell (Northwestern University) went 2-for-5 with a double, tallying two RBIs and one run scored. Cesar Gonzalez Garcia (Boston College) went 2-for-3 with a double, recording one RBI and two runs scored. Nate Ciemny (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) earned the win, throwing seven innings with five strikeouts, allowing four hits, two earned runs, and two walks.

Kalamazoo 3, Rockford 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers edged out the Rockford Rivets 3-2 in a tight matchup. KJ White (Southern University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Jayce Lee (University of Notre Dame) went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base. Joey Appino (Carroll University) went 1-for-4 with a double, scoring once, and stealing one base. Cooper Hinson (Marshall University) went 2-for-3 scoring once. Brody Krzysiak (Kent State University) earned the win throwing seven innings with one strikeout allowing seven hits and two runs. Bryce Brassfield (St. Cloud State University) got the save throwing one perfect inning with one strikeout.

Fond du Lac 3, Wausau 2

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders held off the Wausau Woodchucks 3-2 in low-scoring battle. James Bornick (Marian University (WI)) went 2-for-3 with one RBI. James Hankerson Jr. (Florida State University) went 1-for-3 with a double, driving in one run. Christian Smith-Johnson (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) went 1-for-3 with a double, stealing two bases. Jaden Morris (Ellsworth CC) earned the win throwing five innings with four strikeouts allowing four walks, two hits, and one run. Dylan Immel (University of Sioux Falls) got the save throwing four innings with one strikeout allowing two hits, one run, and one walk.

Minot 7, Badlands 4

The Minot Hot Tots built an early lead and held off a late push to defeat the Badlands Big Sticks 7-4. Rowan Felsch (UC Irvine) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Ethan Reader (Charleston Southern) went 2-for-4 with a double, driving in three runs and scoring once. Connor Massimini (East Texas Baptist University) went 3-for-3 with a double, recording two RBIs and one run scored. Jackson Duncan (University of Dayton) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing five hits and four walks.

Madison 5, Green Bay 1

The Madison Mallards jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating the Green Bay Rockers 5-1. Davis Hamilton (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-4 with a double, recording two RBIs, one run scored, and one stolen base. Aiden Arnett (Virginia Tech) went 2-for-2 scoring once with one stolen base. Collin Helms (Harding University) went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a double. Ty Brooks (Indiana State University) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing three hits, three walks, and one run.

Battle Creek 3, Traverse City 2

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks overcame an early deficit to top the Traverse City Pit Spitters 3-2. Ty Tomlinson (Western Michigan University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBIs. Gianna Royer (Holy Cross) went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases. Grady Mee (Western Michigan University) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one stolen base. Cade Collins (Wofford College) went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Anthony Sanchez (Viterbo University) earned the win throwing seven innings with four strikeouts allowing five hits, two runs, and two walks. Kaveh Meredith (University of Northern Colorado) got the save throwing two scoreless innings allowing two hits and one walk.

Duluth 10, Eau Claire 9

The Duluth Huskies walked off the Eau Claire Express 10-9 in a thrilling, high-scoring showdown. Simon Murray (Arkansas Tech University) came in clutch driving in the winning run. Ethan Surowiec (University of Florida) had a day at the plate going 4-for-5 with a pair of home runs and a triple, recording four RBIs and two runs scored. Cal Elvis (UC San Diego) went 2-for-3 with a double, tallying three RBIs and one run scored. Dante Vachini (Cal Poly University) went 2-for-3 with a double, scoring three times and driving in one run. MgWire Turner (University of Montevallo) went 3-for-5 scoring once with two RBIs. Danny Hesse (Mesa CC) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings allowing one hit.

Thunder Bay 9, Waterloo 8

The Thunder Bay Border Cats outlasted the Waterloo Bucks 9-8 in a back-and-forth battle. Devon Smith (Montreat College (NC)) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBIs. Jeremy Sheffield (Georgetown University (MD)) went 2-for-4 scoring three times. Mitchell Iliff (University of Sioux Falls) went 2-for-4 with a double, driving in three runs. Marcus Heusohn (McNeese State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBIs. Cole Smith (Northern Illinois University) went 1-for-3 scoring three times with two RBIs and one stolen base. Porter Jorgenson (Valley City State University (ND)) earned the win throwing 0.2 of an inning allowing four walks and one run. Tyler Talbert (University of Texas-Arlington) got the save throwing 1.2 scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing one hit.

Royal Oak 12, Kenosha 7

The Royal Oak Leprechauns erupted for eight runs in the first inning, defeating the Kenosha Kingfish 12-7. Ryan Tyranski (University of Cincinnati) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 scoring once with three RBIs. Danny Cook (Pepperdine University) went 3-for-5 with a triple, driving in two RBIs and scoring once. Jovan Gill (Grand Valley State University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and scored twice. Nolan Alvord (Grand Valley State University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with one RBI and one stolen base. Jack Zebig (University of Illinois) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Jacob Vokal (Davidson College) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with one RBI and two stolen bases. William Fockler (Alma College) earned the win throwing 2.2 innings with one strikeout allowing four hits, two walks, and zero earned run. Stephen Ruhle (Oakland University) got the save throwing two perfect innings with two strikeouts.

Rochester 12, La Crosse 7

The Rochester Honkers powered past the La Crosse Loggers 12-7 with a steady offensive attack, scoring in seven of nine innings. Luke Stulga (Illinois State University) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, tallying four RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Ramon Teran (Rochester Tech CC) went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. Ricky Requejo (Missouri Western State University) went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, driving in two runs and scoring once. Joseph Quelch (Georgia Gwinnett College) went 2-for-4 with a triple and a double, tallying one RBI and one run scored. Jackson Cobb (Georgia Gwinnett College) went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. Beau Alazaus (Walsh University) earned the win throwing 6.2 innings with four strikeouts allowing eight hits, three earned runs, and one walk.

Mankato 6, Bismarck 5

The Mankato MoonDogs walked it off against the Bismarck Larks 6-5. Nico Libed (University of San Diego) drove in the winning run, going 2-for-4 scoring once. Anthony Avalos (University of Houston) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Tyler Bunting (Rowan-Cumberland CC) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI. Tanner Shumski (Minnesota State University) earned the win throwing three perfect innings striking out four of nine batters faced.

St. Cloud 15, Willmar 11

The St. Cloud Rox stormed back late to defeat the Willmar Stingers 15-11 in a wild, high-scoring showdown. Augusto Mungarrieta (University of Kansas) went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, recording four RBIs and three runs scored. Carter Jorissen (Cal State Bakersfield) went 3-for-4 with a two-run home, tallying three RBIs and three runs scored. Jackson Cooke (University of Pittsburgh) went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run. Noah Gordon (North Dakota State University) went 3-for-5 with a double, driving in three runs. Joey Craig (New Mexico State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with three RBIs. Carter Walsh (Northwest Nazarene University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Armani Guzman (West Virginia University) went 3-for-5 with a double, recording two RBIs and two runs scored.
