Tuesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. Duluth clinches playoff spot, Game 1 will be on August 10th at La Crosse. Wausau wins their 18th consecutive game at home- a new franchise record- defeating the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 7-4.

Duluth 4, Rochester 3

The Duluth Huskies rallied late to edge out the Rochester Honkers 4-3, plating three runs over the final two innings to seal the comeback victory. Bjorn Lind (Augustana University (MN)) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Kingsley Guthrie (Murray State University) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Simon Murray (Arkansas Tech University) went 1-for-3, scoring once with one RBI. Ramon Teran (Rochester Tech CC) went 1-for-3, scoring twice. Devin Costa (Skyline (CA) CC) earned the win, throwing two scoreless innings with one strikeout, allowing one hit.

Madison 11, Lakeshore 3

The Madison Mallards erupted for 16 hits to dominate the Lakeshore Chinooks 11-3. Liam Moreno (St. Cloud State University) went 2-for-4, scoring once with two RBIs and one stolen base. Carson Hansen (University of Kentucky) went 1-for-4 with four RBIs. Michael Lippe (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-3 with a double, recording one RBI and one run scored. Justin Gadomski (Illinois Wesleyan University) went 3-for-4, scoring twice with one RBI. Jase Schueller (Lubbock Christian University) earned the win, throwing 1.2 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk.

Thunder Bay 5, La Crosse 4

The Thunder Bay Border Cats walked it off in the ninth to edge the La Crosse Loggers 5-4. Jacob Steinberg (Belmont Abbey College (NC)) came up clutch, driving in the winning run, going 2-for-5 on the night. Ayden Hadley (Sacramento State University (CA)) went 2-for-4 with a double, driving in one run. Dylan Snead (Ottawa University (KS)) went 2-for-3, scoring twice with two stolen bases. Savion Flowers (University of Kansas) went 3-for-4, scoring twice with one stolen base. Grant Faris (Ottawa University (KS)) earned the win, throwing one scoreless no-hit inning with three strikeouts, allowing two walks.

Royal Oak 11, Kalamazoo 3

The Royal Oak Leprechauns lit up the scoreboard early and never looked back, rolling to an 11-3 win over the Kalamazoo Growlers. Jovan Gill (Grand Valley State University) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a two-run home run and a double, tallying three RBIs and three runs scored. Ryan Tyranski (University of Cincinnati) went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and scored twice. Noah Bright (Michigan State University) went 3-for-4 with a double, driving in one run and scoring twice. Rhett Roeser (Wayne State University (MI)) went 1-for-3, scoring once with two RBIs. Brody Fahnestock (Oakland University) earned the win, throwing six scoreless innings with three strikeouts, allowing three hits and one walk.

Wausau 7, Fond du Lac 4

The Wausau Woodchucks struck early and sealed it late to defeat the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 7-4. Brody Sexton (Grand Canyon University) went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run. Brayden Mazzacano (University of Illinois) went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, driving in one run and scoring once. Dom Rodriguez (University of Arizona) went 2-for-4, scoring twice with two RBIs. Thomas Googins (Princeton University) went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and scored twice. Quinn Schambow (Oklahoma State University) went 1-for-4 with a double, driving in two runs. Broden Jackson (Madison CC) earned the win, throwing 3.1 scoreless no-hit innings with four strikeouts, allowing one walk.

Wisconsin Rapids 12, Green Bay 8

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters exploded for 10 runs in the first four innings and held off a late rally to beat Green Bay Rockers 12-8. Landon Gaz (UC Irvine) had a day at the plate going 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs, driving in six runs, and scoring twice. Kerim Orucevic (UC San Diego) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and scored twice. Jake Beauchaine (Saddleback CC) went 1-for-3 with a double, tallying one RBI and two runs scored. Jeremy Delamota (Fairleigh Dickinson University) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run. Eric Jeon (Stanford University) went 2-for-3 with a triple, driving in three runs, scoring twice, and stealing one base. Tristin Crusenberry (Campbellsville University) earned the win, throwing five innings with three strikeouts, allowing seven hits, three runs, and two walks.

Kenosha 10, Battle Creek 5

The Kenosha Kingfish stormed back with a six-run seventh inning to complete the comeback and take down the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 10-5. Teige Lethert (Virginia Commonwealth University) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and scored twice. Noah Alvarez (UC Irvine) went 2-for-2, scoring once with two RBIs. Dominic Kibler (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) went 2-for-2, scoring once with a triple. Ivan Dahlberg (Northern Illinois) went 1-for-2, scoring once with two RBIs. Cody Hultink (Davenport University) went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run. Joshua Algarin (Walsh University) went 1-for-3 with a triple, driving in two runs. Blake Sivak (Maryville University) earned the win, throwing two innings, allowing two hits, one run, and one walk. Kyle Alivo (University of Iowa) got the save, throwing one perfect inning with two strikeouts.

St. Cloud 11, Bismarck 6

The St. Cloud Rox took down the Bismarck Larks 11-6. Jackson Cooke (University of Pittsburgh) was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double, driving in two runs, and scoring twice. Levi Lampert (SW Minnesota State University) went 2-for-5 with four RBIs and one stolen base. Carter Jorissen (Cal State Bakersfield) went 2-for-5 with a double, scoring three times. Jesus Vasquez (Laney CC) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run, tallying three RBIs. Ricardo Aponte (Indiana University (PA)) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Owen Laessig (Washburn University) went 1-for-4 with a double, recording one RBI and one run scored. Hunter Day (Minnesota State University) earned the win, throwing six innings with two strikeouts, allowing four hits, two runs, and two walks.

Waterloo 11, Eau Claire 2

The Waterloo Bucks came out swinging, scoring 11 runs on 11 hits, defeating the Eau Claire Express 11-2. Jake Bechtel (UNC Wilmington) had a day at the plate going 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs, driving in five runs, and scoring twice. Patrick Mendiola (Quincy University)went 1-for-2 with a double, recording three RBIs and one run scored. Owen Ross (Northern Illinois University) went 2-for-3, scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Mitchell Iliff (University of Sioux Falls) went 1-for-3 with a double, tallying one RBI, one run scored, and one stolen base. Sam Erickson (Texas A&M University) went 2-for-5 with a double, driving in two runs. Aidan Elfering (University of Dubuque) earned the win, throwing 6.2 innings with eight strikeouts, allowing five hits, three walks, and two runs.

Badlands 11, Mankato 2

The Badlands Big Sticks dominated the Mankato MoonDogs 11-2. Samson Pugh (Texas State University) was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a two-run home run, tallying three RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Jonas Salk (University of Portland) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and one stolen base. Justin Flannery (Menlo College) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Maddox McDonald (Penn State University) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, recording one RBI, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Bo Shinkle (Gonzaga University) went 1-for-3, scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Joshua Torres (UC Riverside) earned the win, throwing six innings with six strikeouts, allowing three walks, two hits, and one run. Nathan McKissick (Trevecca Nazarene University) got the save, throwing one inning with two strikeouts, allowing one hit and one run.

Traverse City 9, Rockford 3

The Traverse City Pit Spitters racked up 17 stolen bases in their 9-3 victory over the Rockford Rivets. Jake McNamara (Palm Beach Atlantic University) went 1-for-4, scoring twice with one RBI and four stolen bases. Adam Broski (Michigan State University) went 1-for-4, scoring once with three stolen bases. Brandon Sanchez (University of Northern Colorado) went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases. Isaac Sturgess (Michigan State University) went 1-for-3 with a triple, scoring twice, and stealing one base. Cole Prout (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-4, scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Grady Mee (Kent State University)stole five bases and scored twice. Max Hammond (Central Michigan University) earned the win, throwing 5 innings with seven strikeouts, allowing three hits, two walks, and one run.

Willmar 14, Minot 9

The Willmar Stingers erupted with an eight-run second inning and racked up 18 hits to overpower the Minot Hot Tots 14-9. Armani Guzman (West Virginia University) had a day at the plate going 2-for-5 with a grand slam and a double, tallying five RBIs, three runs scored, and two stolen bases. Merrick Rapoza (Florida Gulf Coast University) went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, driving in two runs and scoring three times. Sam Hunt (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and scored twice. Liam Bushey (Western Illinois University) went 3-for-5, scoring once with two RBIs.
