The Madison Night Mares clinched the Northwoods League Championship, walking it off to edge out the Minot Honeybees 6-5. Trinity Kennemer (MSU Denver) was the queen of clutch driving in the winning run, going 1-for-2 and scoring twice. Danielle Lucey (University of Wisconsin) came up big, going 2-for-4, tying the game with a solo home run. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin) went 1-for-2 with a double, driving in three runs and scoring once. Taylor Chillingworth (San Jose State University) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run. Bella Cimino (University of North Florida) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, tallying two RBIs and one run scored. Carly Cummings (San Jose State University) went 3-for-4, scoring once with one stolen base. Paytn Monticelli (LSU) earned the win, throwing seven innings with ten strikeouts, allowing nine hits, five runs, and three walks.
