The biggest fireworks came in La Crosse Loggers’ 16-10 slugfest over the Duluth Huskies and the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders’ thrilling 9-8 comeback win over the Eau Claire Express. Meanwhile, the Mankato MoonDogs delivered the most dominant performance of the night with a 16-0 shutout of the Willmar Stingers, while the Battle Creek Battle Jacks and Royal Oak Leprechauns battled through a tense 1-0 pitchers’ duel.

Kalamazoo 6, Traverse City 1

The Traverse City Pit Spitters were held to one run on six hits as the Kalamazoo Growlers used steady scoring and a three-run sixth inning to secure a 6-1 victory. Nate Webb (Belmont University) went 2-for-3, driving in one run and scoring once. Hutson Chance (University of Tennessee) went 2-for-3, driving in one run. Peter Heintz (Northwood University) went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and scored once. Joshua Algarin (Walsh University) went 2-for-5, scoring twice. Bryce Brassfield (St. Cloud State University) earned the win, throwing six innings, collecting four strikeouts, and giving up five hits, two walks, and one run.

La Crosse 16, Duluth 10

The La Crosse Loggers overcame an early deficit with explosive middle innings, outscoring the Duluth Huskies and pulling away for a wild 16-10 victory. Eli Small (Florida Atlantic University) had a day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI, and three runs scored. Jose Lopez (Grand Canyon University) finished 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored, and a stolen base. Gunnar Penzkover (Grand Canyon) went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a stolen base, while Carson Ohland (Grand Canyon University) went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, four runs scored, and two RBIs. Joey Senstock (University of Nebraska) added an RBI and a run scored. For Duluth, Jalen Smith (Barry University) went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double, five RBI, and two runs scored. Vinny Smith (Skyline College) finished 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, two RBI, and two runs scored, while Benji Kautto (University of Evansville) added a two-run homer. Cristien Banda (California State University, Long Beach) earned the win for La Crosse, tossing 3.1 innings with four strikeouts while allowing three runs on four hits and one walk.

Wausau 8, Madison 3

The Wausau Woodchucks erupted for seven runs in the fourth inning and never looked back, defeating the Madison Mallards 8-3 despite being outhit 11-10. For Madison, Preston Yaucher (Pennsylvania State University) went 4-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base, while Jonah Weathers (John A. Logan CC) finished 2-for-4 with a run scored. Logan Waldschmidt (University of New Orleans) earned the win, tossing two innings with two strikeouts while allowing one run on three hits and two walks. Jack Garvey (University of New Orleans) also delivered a brief but dominant outing, striking out both batters he faced.

Fond du Lac 9, Eau Claire 8

The Fond du Lac Dock Spider stormed back with a five-run finish over the final two innings, including four in the ninth, to edge the Eau Claire Express 9-8 in a back-and-forth thriller. Quincy Mazeke (University of Cincinnati) went 1-for-3, coming up clutch with a bases-clearing triple, collecting a total of four RBI.  Brady Blake (Kirkwood CC) had a monster day at the plate, going 3-for-6 with two home runs, driving in three runs, and scoring twice. Evan Abbott (Emporia State University) went 3-for-4, including a double and scoring once. Parker Aaron (Grand Canyon University) went 2-for-5, including an RBI triple. For Express, Landon Ubrig (Rock Valley CC) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. CJ Varsho (Winona State University) went 2-for-5, including a double, scoring once and driving in one run. Luke Ulrich (University of San Diego) earned the win, throwing two innings with two strikeouts, allowing one hit, one run, and one walk.

Thunder Bay 11, Waterloo 9

The Thunder Bay Border Cats built an early lead and held off a late rally from the Waterloo Bucks, scoring four insurance runs in the ninth to secure an 11-9 victory. Dante Smith (North Dakota State University) went 2-for-4, including a double and a stolen base, scoring twice and driving in two runs. Dylan Snead (Ottawa University (KS)) went 1-for-5, scoring twice, tallying one RBI, and stealing three bases. Lincoln Pack (Pensacola State CC (FL)) went 2-for-4 with a double, recording one RBI and two runs scored. Stevie Waters (University of British Columbia) went 2-for-3, scoring once and driving in one run. Carter Kutz (University of Nebraska) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double, scoring twice. Nathan Hanel (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 1-for-2 with a double and scored twice. For Richmond, Ashton Seymore (Georgetown University) went 1-for-5 with a two-run triple and scored once. Landen Fry (Indiana University) went 1-for-3, scoring twice and collecting a stolen base. The Battle Creek Battle Jacks scratched across the game’s only run in the seventh inning and made it stand in a 1-0 pitchers’ duel over the Royal Oak Leprechauns. Hunter Morgan (Dodge City CC) went 2-for-4 and tallied a stolen base. Jake Stedman (Moberly Area CC) drove in the winning run for the Battle Jacks. Jackson Phelps (Malone University) earned the win, throwing six scoreless innings with four strikeouts, allowing two hits and one walk. Jacob Janisko (Moberly Area CC) got the save, throwing one perfect inning, striking out two of three batters faced to close out the game.

Green Bay 5, Wisconsin Rapids 4

The Green Bay Rockers pushed across two runs in the ninth inning to rally past the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 5-4 in a tightly played contest. Aidan Kuni (University of New Mexico) went 1-for-3 with a double, recording one RBI and one run scored. Bryson Webb (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-2, scoring once and drawing three walks.
