Meanwhile, the Mankato MoonDogs delivered the most dominant performance of the night with a 16-0 shutout of the Willmar Stingers, while the Battle Creek Battle Jacks and Royal Oak Leprechauns battled through a tense 1-0 pitchers’ duel.

Kalamazoo 6, Traverse City 1

The Traverse City Pit Spitters were held to one run on six hits as the Kalamazoo Growlers used steady scoring and a three-run sixth inning to secure a 6-1 victory. The Thunder Bay Border Cats built an early lead and held off a late rally from the Waterloo Bucks, scoring four insurance runs in the ninth to secure an 11-9 victory.
