The Steam overcame a back-and-forth offensive battle, exploding for five runs in the seventh inning to pull away in a 16–14 win. Makayla Etling (UNC-Pembroke) went 3-for-5, including a double, finishing with three RBI and three runs scored. Josie Brudos (Winona State University) went 4-for-5, scoring twice and driving in two runs. Sam Vandevelde (Concord University) delivered the go-ahead runs with a bases-clearing double, going 1-for-2 on the night. Avary Makarewicz (University of Tennessee-Martin) went 3-for-4, tallying three RBI and two runs scored. Grace Frechette (St. Cloud State University) went 2-for-3, including a double, driving in one run and scoring once. Kaylee Kinsinger (Dodge City CC) went 3-for-5, scoring three times. For Wausau, Mia Johnson (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, finishing with three RBI. Brynn Daniel (Northwestern State University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Claire Calmes (University of Wisconsin – Madison) went 3-for-4, including a double, recording one RBI and two runs scored. Marley Teasley (University of Washington) went 2-for-3, including a double, driving in one run and scoring three times. Ava Arenz (University of Northern Colorado) went 2-for-3 with a double, tallying two RBI and one run scored. Morgan Smith (Prairie View AandM University) went 2-for-3, scoring three times, driving in one run and stealing one base. Rachel Mori (UNC-Pembroke) earned the win, throwing three scoreless innings while allowing four hits.
