The Woodchucks pulled away with a three-run sixth inning to defeat the Dock Spiders 6-1. Ryan Chase (University of Kansas) went 2-for-4 with a double, driving in two runs and scoring once. Holden Groebl (Cowley County CC) finished 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Braden Jackson (Creighton University) earned the win after tossing six innings, allowing one run on five hits with four strikeouts and one walk.
Lakeshore 2, Minnesota 1
The Chinooks walked it off in the ninth to edge the Mud Puppies 2-1 in a tightly contested pitchers’ duel. David Mysza (UCLA) delivered the game-winning hit, finishing 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Cade Sears (Vanderbilt University) scored a run and stole two bases. For Minnesota, Beau Thoma (Bemidji State Unviersity) went 1-for-2, scoring the Mud Puppies’ lone run while swiping a base. Kalamazoo 14, Royal Oak 4
The Growlers pulled away with a seven-run eighth inning to defeat the Leprechauns 14-4. Teddy Tokheim (Stanford University) went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double, driving in three runs and scoring three times. Nicholas Frontino (Mississippi State University) finished 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI.
