Mankato jumped out early and held off Minot 8–5. The Habaneros scored five runs in the first inning and never relinquished the lead to earn the split. Bella Louvar (Des Moines Area CC) went 2-for-4, including a double, driving in three runs. Ava Parent (University of Wisconsin) went 1-for-2 with a triple, scoring twice and stealing one base. For Minot, Clare Rettler (Carthage College) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one stolen base. Isabelle Anderson (Minot State University) went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Kylinn Stangl (University of Minnesota) earned the win, throwing seven innings with seven strikeouts while allowing nine hits, five runs, and two walks.

Wausau edged La Crosse 1–0 in a pitchers’ duel. The Ignite scratched across the game’s only run in the second inning and made it stand behind a dominant performance in the circle. Sydney Spear (Bradley University) went 1-for-2 with a double, driving in the game’s only run. For La Crosse, Avary Makarewicz (University of Tennessee-Martin) went 1-for-2 with a triple. Preslynn Baker (John Melvin Christian College) turned in a strong performance for the Steam, throwing seven innings with seven strikeouts while allowing four hits, five walks, and one run. Berritt Herr (University of Wisconsin) earned the win, throwing seven scoreless innings with five strikeouts while allowing three hits and three walks.
Madison 8, Grand Forks 6
Madison erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning to rally past Grand Forks 9–6. The Night Mares erased a three-run deficit with a late offensive explosion to secure the comeback victory. Trinity Kennemer (Metro State University of Denver) was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4, including a pair of doubles, driving in two runs and scoring once. Luciana Moreno (University of Pittsburgh) went 2-for-3, including a triple, recording one RBI and two runs scored. Ava Carroll (University of Washington) went 3-for-5, including a home run, driving in three runs. For Grand Forks, Shannon Cunningham (San Diego State University) had a huge day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and a triple, recording three RBI and three runs scored. Emma Peeples (York University (NE)) went 1-for-2 with a triple, scoring once. Ryan Maddox ( University of Washington) earned the win, throwing seven innings with 11 strikeouts while allowing eight hits, six runs, and four walks.
