Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks have announced catcher/first baseman Jordan Adams will return to play for the Bucks in 2012. Adams, a junior at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, is the fifth player to be named to Waterloo’s roster for the team’s 18th season.
This will be Adams’ third season with the Bucks. In 2010, the Mason City, Iowa native signed with the team in August, playing four games and finishing with a .125 average. Last season, Adams was a mainstay at first base for Waterloo, playing in 60 games. The 6’3", 225-pounder finished the year with a .264 average, seven home runs, a team second-best 37 RBI, and a .407 slugging percentage.
Last season for Central Michigan, Adams hit .261 in 30 games. The right-handed hitter finished with one home run, 13 RBI, and a .364 slugging percentage for the Chippewas.
Born July 23, 1990, Adams attended Newman Catholic High School in Mason City, Iowa where he was a five-year varsity starter, hitting a state-record seven career grand slams. Jordan is the son of Tony and Pam Adams.
