The Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers are proud to announce that Ryan Levendoski will return as field manager for the Lunkers 2010 season.  This will be his fourth season in the Northwoods League and his second as field manager for the Lunkers.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to return to the lakes area for the 2010 season,” Levendoski said.  “The Lunkers are a great organization with dedicated fans in a beautiful part of the state and I am really looking forward to building on what we started in the summer of 2009.”

His passion for the game and dedication to the team last season made team owner/general manager Joel Sutherland’s decision to bring him back an easy one.

“Ryan has proven time and time again that he is not only a great coach, but a fine mentor for the young players in our league,” Sutherland said.  “He is a great fit with our organization and we couldn’t be happier to have him back next summer.”

His past coaching experience includes seven years as the Head Coach of the Genoa-De Soto-Stoddard American Legion Program. In 2002, The Stoddard, Wis. native guided the Legion team to a Class A State Championship and a 3rd place finish in the Division II Midwest National Tournament. Currently, Levendoski is an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis.  Levendoski has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He received his Masters in Sport Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the spring of 2007.
