Waterloo 9, Eau Claire 3

The Waterloo Bucks evened out their record at 2-2 as they defeated the Eau Claire Express Saturday night in front of 1,896 fans.  The Bucks scored nine runs on ten hits and were paced offensively by Matt Reistetter (Hofstra), Jeremy Lucas (Indiana State) and Jordan Adams (Central Michigan).  Reistetter and Adams both collected two hits while Lucas drove in three runs.  Chase Stevens (Seminole State CC) earned the win for Waterloo after throwing a three hitter in 6.0 innings of work.  DeMarcus Tidwell (Southern Poly Tech) was 3-for-5 in the loss for Eau Claire. 

Mankato 8, St. Cloud 7

Mankato stayed on the winning track Saturday as they beat the River Bats 8-7 at Franklin Rogers Park.  Mankato’s Blair Moore (San Diego State) was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two of those four hits being doubles.  MoonDogs center fielder Cody Ferrell (Seminole State) homered in the win. The River Bats were hot at the plate, but their pitching staff walked seven batters.  Korey Wacker (Maryland) was 4-for-5 with two runs scored in the loss.

Madison 14, La Crosse 2

The Madison Mallard bats were on fire Saturday night as they scored fourteen runs and put up runs in all but three innings.  Every Mallard batter registered a hit and four Mallard’s had multi-hit games.  Jay Golden (Blackhawk CC) led the way with a 3-for-5 night with four runs scored and two RBIs.  Madison’s Ryan Bores (Cuyahoga CC) picked up the win after only allowing two runs in 6.0 innings of work. 

Green Bay 4, Wisconsin 2

The Green Bay Bullfrogs beat the Wisconsin Woodchucks in extra innings Saturday night by a score of 4-2.  The Bullfrogs used two runs in the 11th inning on an RBI double by Daniel Gerow (Davidson) and a Steven Halcomb (Gonzaga) RBI single.  The Bullfrogs Drew Bradshaw (San Jose State) and John Colella (Holy Cross) combined to throw a six hitter while striking out twelve Woodchuck hitters.  The Woodchucks Shain Stoner (Point Loma Nazarene) was 2-for-4 in the loss.  

Battle Creek 8, Wisconsin Rapids 6

The Battle Creek Bombers defeated the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters by a score of 8-6 in extra innings.  The Bombers out hit the Rafters fifteen to nine and scored two runs in the top of the 10th for the victory.  Ryne Otis had an impressive day at the plate as he finished the game with three hits and three RBIs.  Dan Dispensa also had three hits in the Battle Creek win.    

Alexandria 10, Thunder Bay 5

The Beetles used a five run 8th inning to break open the game Saturday night against the Thunder Bay Border Cats.  Alexandria’s leadoff batter, Nick Gumm (Maple Woods CC) paced the Beetles offense with a three hit, three run night.  Chris Fritts and Mike LeViseur (Seton Hill) also had multi-hit games for Alexandria.  Casey Shiver (Southern Polytechnic) earned the win for Alexandria as he threw a 5.0 inning two hitter out of the bullpen.  

Willmar 9, Rochester 1

The Stingers shutdown the Honkers offense on Saturday night as three pitchers combined to throw a two hitter.  Anthony Consiglio (Western Nevada College), Chris Gonzalez (Point Loma) and Jack Shannon (San Diego) combined to strike out nine Honkers.  The Stingers Anthony Hincy (Doane) had a very nice night at the plate as he finished 3-for-5.  

Brainerd 10, Duluth 4

Brainerd used a ten run 2nd inning to beat the Duluth Huskies 10-4 Saturday night at Stewart C. Mills Field.  The Huskies had twelve hits on the night as the Huskies could only score four runs on ten hits.  Kye Winter (Augustana) earned the win as he had a very nice pitching performance Saturday night.  The right-handed pitcher earned the win after throwing 7.0 innings.
