ROCHESTER, Minn. (June 27, 2012) – One team came back with two runs in the bottom of the ninth to get the walk-off win, one game needed extra innings to decide the outcome and two teams attempted to come all the way back, but would fall short at home. 

Rochester 9, St. Cloud 2

The Honkers saw a solid performance at the plate by Justin Parr (Illinois), who was 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Rochester’s win streak is now at four games. These two teams will continue this series on Thursday when they square off at 7:05 p.m. 

Duluth 13, Waterloo 9

Duluth was led by Max Duval (Hawaii) who was 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI and three runs scored. Duval recorded his first triple of the year in the fifth, which drove in two runs. The Huskies will host the Willmar Stingers on Thursday at 7:05 p.m., while the Bucks will host the Mankato MoonDogs at 6:35 p.m.

Wisconsin 11, Madison 8

Wisconsin was led by Skyler Ewing (Rice) who was 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBI and one run scored. The Woodchucks will host Eau Claire on Thursday starting at 6:35 p.m. and the Mallards will travel to La Crosse, Wis. to face the Loggers at 7:05 p.m.

Battle Creek 4, Eau Claire 11

The Express were led by Casey Gillaspie (Wichita State) who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. He hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning for Eau Claire. The Bombers will travel to Green Bay to face the Bullfrogs on Thursday for a 7:05 p.m. start. 

Lakeshore 4, La Crosse 5

After tying the game in the bottom of the ninth, the Loggers won the game on a ball put in play by Boomer Collins (Dallas Baptist) that scored Tyler Servais (Princeton) for the 5-4 win. The Chinooks will host Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday at 6:35 p.m.

Thunder Bay 3, Alexandria 4

Jimmy Pickens (Michigan State) RBI single in the bottom of the tenth would score Ben Moore (Alabama) to win the game for the Beetles. Pickens ended the day 3-for-5 and his only RBI was the game-winner. The Beetles will host Thunder Bay again on Friday beginning at 7:05 p.m.

Green Bay 7, Wisconsin Rapids 5

The Rafters came back with two runs in the bottom of the ninth and had two runners on base, but could not complete the comeback. The Bullfrogs were led by David Armendariz (Cal Poly) who went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored.
