
The Long Island University product stole nine bases in the MWL playoffs. Jones went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored, and two stolen bags in the second game of the postseason, and he doubled, singled, walked and scored twice in the next game. Jones smacked eight hits — including two home runs — over the course of the five Championship Series games against the Lake County Captains.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Jones suited up for Waterloo during the 2008 season where he played in 42 games, hitting .296. A two-way player for the Bucks, Jones also appeared in 23 games on the mound, finishing with a 2.45 ERA, a 5-2 record, and 58 strikeouts in 40.1 innings pitched.
