Bismarck, ND- The Big Sticks got their revenge against the Bismarck Larks and won 18-10.
This game was defined by multiple big-run innings. The Sticks started it off with a Evan Appelwick RBI groundout and a Tanner Sears RBI single. Delshaun Lanier knocked in the first run for the Larks followed by a Ronny Medina sac fly and a RBI triple from Kyle Hvidsten. The Sticks put up 7 runs over the next two innings. The runs came from an Appelwick home run, an Adam Haber 2 RBI single, Luke Shannahan RBI single, and multiple batters walked in.
The Sticks took a 12-4 lead in the 6th inning of the game. Zach Selfon had a RBI single and Shannahan knocked two in with a single to left. The Larks were able to make up some ground in the 8th on RBI doubles from Ryan Rivera and Noah Leib. The Sticks responded with a 5-run 9th inning. Kaden Carpenter knocked in two with a single to right. Bo Tabula followed up with two RBIs of his own. Tyler Tobey hit a single into center for the final Sticks run. Erick Dessens hit a 2 RBI triple and Lanier knocked in another for the final runs for the Larks.
The Sticks return home to play the Mankato MoonDogs. They will be playing 5 games in 3 days with the first game starting on Tuesday at 4:00
