Dickinson, ND- The Big Sticks win 15-9 in a back and forth battle against the Eau Claire Express.

Both teams start off hot in the first inning. Ethan Farris would score Reggie Bussey on a single to right. The Sticks would respond with a two-run homer from Evan Appelwick. Adam Haber would add on with a sac fly in the 2nd. Farris would come back in the 3rd with a sac fly and Brady Blake would slam a two-run homer. Haber would score Noah Wicks on a groundout and Kaden Carpenter hits two in on a single to center. In the top of the 6th, the Express would score four off a Tracen Cameron double and a Owen Washburn fielder’s choice. The Sticks would start their comeback in the bottom of the 6th with a Haber sac fly.

Davis Rivers would tac on a solo homer before the Sticks had a 7-run 7th inning. Conner Williar would walk three straight batters and would be subbed out by Nick Fitzanko. Wicks would start it off and knock in one on a single to left field. Quade Peters would beat out the throw for the second run and two more would walked in. Appelwick would score two on a single to center. Troy Berg would cap off that inning with a RBI single into right. The Sticks would tap on one more on a RBI line out from Peters.

The Big Sticks will be back on Monday with a double header against the Bismarck Larks with both games being available to stream on ESPN+.
