The Eau Claire Express scored in all but two innings to take the game nine to four. They scored nine runs on 14 hits and one error. The Bombers scored 4 runs on 5 hits and 4 errors.
The Express started the first inning recording two runs on one hit and one error. The Bombers left one on base in the first.
The Express hit off the second inning with a double from Nate Baumann, who scored on a wild pitch from Dan Holcomb. Which put the Express up three to nothing.
Steve McGuiggan stole a base and scored off a line drive by Nathan Orf. With two outs in the bottom of the third, Josh Rosecrans hit a grounder through the third baseman and shortstop, to score Shane Street.
Express load the bases on three consecutive base hits with no outs in the fifth inning. Nate Baumann hit a two-RBI base hit, to put the Express ahead of the Bombers seven to one. Andy Leonard hit a ground ball to Jimmy Martinez who touched his bag for an out and threw to first for the double play.
Sean Deegan gets all of the ball and decides he does not like his bat and throws it back to the dugout during his foul ball. Dan Dispensa made an amazing catch to end the sixth inning and shut the Express down for the first time in the game.
Shane Street hits a double back to the warning track, his second of the season, to score Jimmy Martinez, with two outs in the seventh inning.
Mike Theodore pitched 12 straight balls to load the bases. He pitched 14 straight balls where no one swung the bat at all, he then walked a batter in to make it nine to two.
Bombers were down nine to two at the start of the ninth inning and Josh Lyon hit his second homerun in two games. That brings the Clear The Fence for Cancer total up to $400 all on the bat of Lyon. Noble Enriquez gets home on a past and then on an error committed by the third baseman.
The Bombers and Express finish the home stand Sunday at 1:05 p.m. It is Family Fun Sunday, where after the games kids can run the bases and meet the players.
