The Rafter took game two by a score of 5-1, scoring three runs in the ninth inning, on two outs. John Morrison got the start for the Bombers, after being on the injured list, and pitched 2.2 innings allowing only one run on two hits.
In the third inning, With players on first and second Brad Hall hit an RBI single and advanced a runner to third. Janzen Torres hit a shot to center field, but Sean Deegan was able to throw it all the way in to keep the runner from scoring.
Eric Schultz, Brett Kauten, and Josh Rosecrans put a rafter into a pickle, but Schultz was able to tag him for the out.
In the bottom of the seventh Josh Rosecrans hit a ball deep to center field to get on base and then advanced to second on an error, to start off the inning. Josh Lyon hit to advance Rosecrans to third and then Parker Berberet hit an RBI single, to get the Bombers back in the game. Dan Dispensa stepped in to run for Berberet, and stole second.
During the next inning Shane Street hit a sacrifice bunt to advance Navarro Hall to second base. Newcomer to the Bombers, Eric Schultz, hit a ground ball that took a really lucky hop for the Rafters to end the inning.
A Rafter will score on a wild pitch to put them ahead, 3-1. Rosecrans will run down the first baseline to make the out for the inning.
Lyon hit a shot back to the warning track and it takes a bounce over the wall, and the umpire declared it a double. A wild pitch put the runners at second and third, with only one out. Brett Kauten stepped up to the plate and had a full count, and walked to load the bases, with two outs. But Bombers were not able to capitalize on the loaded bases.
