Grant Dozar hits a high bunt to Nate Blanekmeyer who was able to catch it for the out and then throw to first to get the runner out. Chris Amezquita hit a homerun with one runner on base to make it 2-0.

Josh Lyon started off the fourth inning with a double. Dan Dispensa would then help Lyon move up a base on a sacrifice bunt. Lawrence hit a sac fly deep into left field to score Lyon. That made the game, 2-1, still in favor of the Woodchcucks

During the sixth inning Kevin Pillar got on base with a hit and then was able to steal second. Dozar walked to put runners on first and second. Blankemeyer tried to pick off Pillar but he ran to third but had to come back and was put into a pickle. Dozar who was on first headed to second and so did Pillar. Both runners stood on base as Beau Didier tagged Pillar and then threw to Lyon as he chased Dozar back to first and tagged him too. Ultimately Dozar was called out and Pillar was safe on third. The umpires had to debate about that and check the rule book.

Andrew Lawrence hit a deep shot to right field for a double, to start off the seventh inning for the Bombers. Then Brett Kauten was walked to put two runners on. Those runners were able to advance on a wild pitch. Didier hit a fly ball to the outfield to score Lawrence, to tie the game at 2 a piece. Navarro Hall hit a shot to right and was able to score two bombers, putting the Bombers ahead 4-2.

In the bottom of the eighth the Bombers were able to get another runner across home to put them up 5-2.

In the top of the ninth the Woodchucks started to battle back, when Dozar hit a two run homerun. That was all the ‘Chucks were able to come up with as the Bombers take the first game of the day 5-4.
