The first half of the Northwoods league is officially over tonight. The Bombers suffer a loss in the last game, but will start Friday off with a clean slate.
Only two runs were scored in the entire game, and it was an inning of twos.
Dan Dispensa went 2-for-3 on the night. Nate Blankemyer got the loss for the Bombers as he pitched 7.2 innings with one run off of three hits.
The Rochester Honkers were able to clinch the North Division earlier, but the Eau Claire Express won the South with their win over the Bullfrogs tonight.
Matt Flemer of the Loggers had two hits and hit in the two runs that won the game for them.
The only scoring came in the eighth inning when with two outs two loggers each had singles. Flemer stepped up to the plate and hit a double to score both runs putting the Loggers up 2-0.
Bombers had no runs on three hits and the Loggers had two runs on six hits.

Little Caesars will be giving away rally towels for the first 500 fans. Saturday Bombers team cards will be passed out, and sponsored by D.A.V. that is also Military appreciation night, where Military personnel will get in free.
