The Bombers are pleased to announce that Greg Talbott has been hired as the Director of Broadcasting for the 2011 season.
“We really liked Greg when we first heard his demos this fall. He also impressed us with the amount of experience he already had as a broadcaster. He should be an outstanding voice for our team all season long in Battle Creek and across the Northwoods League.” said Bomber GM Brian Colopy.
Talbott, 19, comes to the Bombers from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, where he is finishing his sophomore year as a Broadcast Studies major and Journalism minor. During the school year, he is the voice of north Idaho high school football and basketball on IdahoSports.com, and provides play-by-play for Whitworth University (DIII) baseball. He spent the 2010 summer calling games for the Bellingham Bells of the West Coast League.
Greg will broadcast all 70 Bombers games online at www.BattleCreekBombers.com, in addition to working in media relations for the club.
“I’m so excited to work for the Bombers in the Northwoods League this summer. The chance to broadcast in arguably the best summer league in the country is a chance few people, let alone young college students, get. I plan on providing the community with an entertaining, informative, professional-quality broadcast every night.” said Talbott.
The Bombers are set to begin their 5th season on June 1, 2011 in the Prestigious Northwoods League. For tickets, fans can call (269)962-0735 or visit www.BattleCreekBombers.com.
