The Battle Creek Bombers are eager to announce the rehiring of Assistant Coach Thad Frame.  Frame spent this past season coaching the Bombers hitters and infielders and is looking forward to coming back.

“I am excited about the opportunity Coach Scott and General Manager Brian Colopy have given me to join the Battle Creek baseball family” said Frame.  “I have a tremendous amount of respect towards the Northwoods League, and I am happy to be on board as a coach for the Battle Creek Bombers.  I look forward to learning a lot, teaching the game, and working hard to help our players and program continue to develop.”

Frame brings a wealth of baseball experience to the Bombers.  Frame attended Huntington University where he was a four year starter under Indiana Hall of Fame member, Coach Mike Frame.  He was a three time All Conference player and in 2007 he was a NAIA All-American.  While he was at Huntington, Frame was also a three time All Conference Gold Glove member.

After finishing his collegiate career Frame became an Assistant Coach in 2008 for the Carolina Chaos in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League.  He has also been an assistant coach for the Foresters at Huntington University for 2 years, where he has worked with the hitters and infielders.  Also at Huntington, Frame is in charge of the strength and conditioning program.

“I can’t express enough how valuable Thad will be to our team this off-season and upcoming 2011 campaign,” said General Manager Brian Colopy. “Thad is an up and coming coach in this league and in college baseball and we are very lucky to have him back for 2011,” said Colopy.

In June 2011, the Bombers will begin their 5th season in Battle Creek as members of the prestigious Northwoods League.
