The Bombers took the series from the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on Saturday night in a 7-1 blowout at C.O. Brown Stadium, finishing the first half of the season 4-1 against the struggling team.
Battle Creek put the game away early with pairs of runs in the first, second, and fifth innings, and a solo run in the seventh. Jimmy Martinez and Brett Wiley both finished with multi-RBI games for the Bombers, while Jordan Dean and Rhett Goodmiller also brought runs in.
Matt Dearden made his best start of 2011, tossing seven scoreless innings and allowing just four hits, while striking out four and walking one. John Morrison and Alex Tukey finished out the relief effort for the Bombers to secure the win.
