The Bombers lost more than the game on Monday night in Green Bay, a 6-5 ninth-inning defeat at the hands of the Green Bay Bullfrogs; they also lost two players and head coach Donnie Scott due to ejections following the game.

Initially falling behind a run in the first inning, Battle Creek built a lead throughout the early innings thanks to multi-RBI performances from Bryce Redeker and Alex Robinson, but the Bullfrogs surged in the final frames, eventually trailing 5-4 headed into the ninth. Kristian Calibuso entered the game for the Bombers seeking a save, but with two outs and a runner on base, Mitch Haniger hit a ball off the top corner of the outfield fence, which, after minutes of on-field deliberation, umpires Jake Dallas and Cody Oaks eventually ruled a homerun, securing the win for Green Bay.

The Bombers then rushed the field and a postgame altercation ensued, resulting in the ejections of Scott and players Troy Forton and Daniel Rockett. Scott firmly stands by his decision of protecting his players.

The road trip concludes tomorrow night in Green Bay with game two at 7:05 central time. Fans can hear the game live online at www.battlecreekbombers.com with Voice of the Bombers, Greg Talbott, calling the action.
