The Bombers dropped their third straight game on Friday night in an 11-2 loss to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, putting the season series at 5-4 in Battle Creek’s favor.

The Rafters pounced early, and the Bombers never had a chance. Matt Dearden gave up eight runs and didn’t make it through three innings, and Caleb Vincent was again stellar in relief, giving up just two runs through over five innings of relief before Kristian Calibuso finished off the effort.

At the plate, Matt Hitt and Danny Rockett both had RBI base-hits for the team’s only runs. The Bombers, however, left the bases loaded twice and stranded 12 runners, which could have been the difference had they capitalized early in the game.

The season series concludes Saturday at C.O. Brown in a 7:05 start.
