The Bombers opened their second trip to Copeland Park in 2011 with a 3-2 win over the Loggers in front of a crowd of over 3,200 fans.
Despite a sluggish pace, the game was scoreless through four innings. The Bombers broke it wide open, however, with a three-run rally with four two-out hits highlighted by a Dan Dispensa two-RBI single and a Rhett Goodmiller double.
Fireballer Nolan Sanburn continued his domination of opposing hitters in his second start, tossing four scoreless innings while just allowing one hit and striking out four. Scott Simmons picked up the win in mid-relief while Kristian Calibuso got yet another save.
Game two of three is Saturday night in La Crosse, 7:05 eastern start.
