The Bombers broke their two-game losing streak on Tuesday with a dominant 10-5 win over the Madison Mallards.

Battle Creek blew the game open in the first inning when Danny Rockett smacked a two-RBI double and Ryne Otis cleared the bases on a two-run homer making it 4-0 after a half-inning of play. The Bombers extended the lead with another three runs in the second, two in the third, and one in the fourth before allowing three runs to the Mallards in the bottom of the inning. Jordan Dean, Ryne Otis, and Danny Rockett all finished with multi-RBI games.

On the mound, all-star pitcher Ben Ballentine made his first start in nearly three weeks and tossed five innings and didn’t allow any earned runs, while Caleb Vincent and Alex Tukey finished the effort.

The Bombers wrap up the six-day roadtrip Wednesday at Warner Park, 7:05 central start.
