The Bombers lost the final game of their six-day roadtrip on Wednesday in Madison, 4-1 to the Mallards.

Battle Creek scored their only run in the second when Ryne Otis came home from third base on a throwing error by the Mallards Mike McQuillan. Not a single Bomber had a multi-hit game, yet Rhett Goodmiller successfully reached base three times in four at-bats.

Troy Forton threw four scoreless innings in the start but surrendered three in the fifth, and the Bombers never got the lead back. In the start, Forton only allowed four hits while striking out six. Chad Jasman allowed the final run in late relief with Scott Simmons in between.

The Bombers return to C.O. Brown Stadium Thursday for a quick two-game series with the Eau Claire Express before heading out on another roadtrip. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
