The Bombers only finished two games of their scheduled triple-header with the La Crosse Loggers, and split the games 1-1, and Battle Creek won the season series 5-4. La Crosse took game one 6-2, while Battle Creek won game two 5-0.

The Loggers broke the game open with three runs in the first inning of game one, a Trentt Copeland homer over the left field wall and a Tyler Smith single did the damage, while they put the game away in the sixth with a pair of RBI singles. The Bombers scored individual runs in the sixth and seventh with a pair of run-scoring singles from a surging Jordan Dean. Scott Simmons went 4.2 innings and gave up just one run.

Ben Ballantine was stellar for the Bomb Squad, throwing a six-inning shutout and fanning five before Kristian Calibuso finished the effort. At the plate, Jordan Dean struck again with two more RBIs in the fourth inning.

The Bombers begin their final roadtrip of the season on Thursday, playing three in Eau Claire before visiting Madison and Wausau to finish off the road schedule for 2011.
