The Bombers won their eighth straight game last night, taking down the Green Bay Bullfrogs 10-3 in Battle Creek’s first-ever playoff game at Johannes Stadium in Green Bay.

Jimmy Martinez put the Bombers on the board nearly immediately, launching a solo homerun with one out in the first giving them the lead. Battle Creek took the lead in the fourth when Brett Wiley scored on a sacrifice fly from Tyler Hall, and blew the game open with pairs of runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. Martinez, Troy White, and Rhett Goodmiller all finished the game with multi-RBI performances, while five Bombers had multi-hit games as well.

Troy Forton got the win and tossed six innings while surrendering just two runs, while Alex Tukey threw two innings of scoreless relief, and Kevin Schultz finished the game.

Battle Creek now leads the best-of-three series 1-0 coming back to C.O. Brown Stadium.
