Opening Day set for May 29th vs. Kalamazoo Growlers

The Bombers will begin their season on the road in Green Bay on May 27th, before returning home May 29th. Opening Day in Battle Creek (Thursday, May 29th) marks the first rivalry game between the Bombers and the expansion franchise Kalamazoo Growlers. Other highlights on the calendar include two split day-night doubleheaders between the Bombers and Growlers. On June 30th, the Bombers will host the night game after traveling to Kalamazoo earlier that day. On July 30th, the Bombers will host an 11:00 AM day game before making the trip out to Kalamazoo. In addition, the team plans to host one additional day game on June 3rd, with a unique start time of 10:00 AM. The Bombers are also home for July 3rd, with plans to host their biggest Fireworks display of the season, starting that game at 7:35 PM.
The League, which plays two halves to determine playoff participants, similar to most professional minor leagues, will end the first half of play on June 30 with the second half beginning the following day. The first and second half division winners from both the North and South divisions will meet in a best-of-three Divisional Playoff Series from August 11-13. The North and South Division Champions will then meet in a best-of-three series for the Summer Collegiate World Series from August 14-16.
