BATTLE CREEK, MI – The Battle Creek Bombers are pleased to announce a new Founding Partner for the 2014 season and beyond. The team has reached a multi-year agreement with The Melges Group of Raymond James, naming them a Founding Partner of the Battle Creek Bombers.
General Manager Anthony Iovieno made the announcement today, adding “We could not be more excited to welcome The Melges Group to the Battle Creek Bombers family. The Melges Group is a model local business with an impeccable record. I believe they will truly assist us in enhancing the overall fan experience this year and for years to come. ”
2014 will mark the first year The Melges Group has partnered with the Bombers, and the group released the following statement in conjunction with the recent announcement. "It is our pleasure to partner with the Bombers to help promote wholesome family activities in Battle Creek. We welcome the opportunity to support home-town baseball and the strong family values upon which our business was founded and our community is based. Best of luck to the team in their 2014 season!"
As part of the new multi-year agreement, The Melges Group of Raymond James will be sponsoring a weekly theme and a variety of fan-friendly activities. Thanks to the Melges Group, fans can now look forward to “Freebie Fridays”. Each Friday home game, fans will receive a different premium giveaway item as they enter the gates. The Melges Group will also sponsor a very unique giveaway item for the final home game of the 2014 season, scheduled for Friday, August 8th. Details of the giveaway item were not made readily available at this time.
In addition, “Baseball Bingo”, which allows fans to have the opportunity to play baseball-themed bingo during the game, will now be a staple of all Friday night Bombers games courtesy of the Melges Group. This partnership also includes free bingo cards for patrons 55+ with a valid ID. By playing, fans will have the opportunity to win a variety of different prizes throughout the game.
In addition to the Baseball Bingo, The Melges Group has partnered with the team on a new “Tix for Tots” community enhancement program. This sponsorship consists of any unused tickets belonging to The Melges Group to be donated on their behalf to underprivileged and at risk youth organizations within the Battle Creek area.
