2014 Bomber Connor Panas Named National Player of the Week
Battle Creek, Mich. – 2014 Battle Creek Bomber and current collegiate star Connor Panas was recently named a Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week. This award is given to the most outstanding players in all of collegiate baseball on a weekly basis.
For the 2014 season, Connor is absolutely mashing to a .352/.434/.593 slash line, while leading his team in HR (6) and RBI (41). During his award-winning week, Panas went 8-11 with three home runs and ten RBI. During the previous week, Panas was also named a Capitol One Academic All-District First-Team Selection. The third baseman also currently leads his conference, the MAAC, in batting average, RBI and slugging percentage.
Connor will be heading to Battle Creek to compete for the Bombers in 2014 Northwoods League play this summer. You can catch Connor, and the rest of the Battle Creek Bombers, on Opening Day at C.O. Brown Stadium this May 29th at 7:05pm against the newly formed Kalamazoo Growlers.
