La Crosse, Wisc.- It was a tough night for the Bombers in La Crosse as the Loggers played sound baseball and won, 6-1.

Similar to his previous start, David Stagg (Indiana State) struggled on the mound early. Stagg would give up four total runs over five innings of works.

Joe Mockbee (Michigan State) would come in relief and give up two runs of his own.

That would be all the Loggers needed, as the Bombers were only able to get one run.

"You have to tip your cap right there," Coach Trivett said, discussing the opponent's starter. "That kid from Long Beach State (Ty Provencher) had us off balance all night."

That run came off the bat of Bryan Daniello (UConn) on a groundout in the top half of the sixth inning.

Battle Creek came in winners four of their previous five and were looking for their second sweep in a row, but were stopped in their tracks.

They will look to rebound tomorrow as the Bombers head to Wisconsin Rapids to wrap up their four game road trip.

The Bombers already swept the Rafters at C.O. Brown stadium earlier this season.

First pitch is 8:05 ET.
