Battle Creek had a solid start on the mound for the second straight day, but the offense could not get it done as the Bombers lost 4-1.

Collin Orellana (San Diego St.) went six innings of one run ball, only giving up two infield hits. Just like the game yesterday when Joe Mockbee (Michigan State) went six, the game was blown open in the seventh.

This time, it was a pair of two out hits by the Honkers off the bullpen. First was a double to left-center, followed by a two-run blast to give Rochester the lead for good.

Battle Creek had a few scares throughout the game, but could not muster across many runs.

Their only run of the game came off the bat of Sebastian Diaz (Miami), who had a sacrifice fly to bring in Cody Kuzniczci (Northern Kentucky). Kuzniczci had two hits on the day, and Diaz added a double at the plate as well.

Battle Creek will now head home for a seven game home stand (including a night game at Kalamazoo). Tomorrow, it will be fireworks night at C.O. Brown as the Bombers face off with the Wisconsin Woodchucks, 7:05 ET first pitch.
