Battle Creek Bombers Set to Break Single-Season Attendance Record

Return home for final two games this Thursday & Friday night

Battle Creek, MI – The Battle Creek Bombers return home Thursday for the final two home games of the season, and currently sit just shy of the franchise’s single-season attendance record of 40,786 set in 2012.  The team, which is averaging just shy of 1,200 fans per game, will likely break the record either Thursday or Friday night.  To celebrate this accomplishment, the record-breaking fan will receive a special prize from the Bombers, including a season-ticket to the 2015 season.

“We cannot thank our fans enough for all their support this season and for helping us to break this important record.  I hope the breaking of this record can now become an annual tradition here in Battle Creek” added Bombers General Manager Tony Iovieno.

You can be there for the recording-breaking night, as the Bombers take on the Madison Mallards Thursdays for the final Thirsty Thursday of the season. Be sure to get to C.O. Brown Stadium when gates open at 6:05 for a free hat giveaway to the first 500 fans (21+), courtesy of Miller Lite and a bobblehead giveaway of Blaze, the KCC Mascot, presented by Kellogg Community College. It is also Military Appreciation Night, and any fan presenting a valid Military ID at the box office will receive a free ticket to the game courtesy of South West Michigan Eye Center and Miller Lite.

On Friday night, the Bombers and Mallards finish up the short two-game home stand with another 7:05 start. Fans can enjoy playing Baseball Bingo and one lucky winner will go home with a $200 Meijer gift card, thanks to The Melges Group of Raymond James. The first 500 fans through the gates will also receive a commemorative bobblehead of current Tiger and former Northwoods League alumni Max Scherzer. The Bombers will also be celebrating Christmas in August, while wearing a new specialty jersey presented by CTI Mechanical.  Jerseys will be auctioned off throughout the game, with proceeds benefiting Community Inclusive Recreation. The team will also celebrate you, the fan, with various giveaways and prizes awarded throughout the game. Fans will also be selected to participate in a special Who Wants to Be a Millionaire promotion, presented by the Melges Group of Raymond James, with one lucky fan walking away a millionaire!
