OPENING NIGHT SET FOR MAY 26th 2015 Schedule

(BATTLE CREEK, MI)-The Battle Creek Bombers, an affiliate of the Northwoods League, released their complete 2015 regular season schedule today (Click here for printable schedule).  For the second year in a row, the league will be host to 18 teams, and maintain a 72-game regular season schedule.  The NWL will begin its 22nd season of play on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015.  The Northwoods League set an attendance record during the 2014 season when over 1 million fans attended games throughout the summer.  The Bombers also set their all-time attendance record this past season as well. 

The League, which plays two halves to determine playoff participants, will end the first half of play on June 30 with the second half beginning the following day.  The first and second half division winners from both the North and South divisions will meet in a best-of-three Divisional Playoff Series from August 10-12. The North and South Division Champions will then meet in a best-of-three series for the Summer Collegiate World Series from August 13-15.

The 2015 Northwoods League All-Star Game will return to Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday, July 21 while the Major League Dreams Showcase will take place at Warner Park, in Madison, for its third year on August 4, 2015. 

The Battle Creek Bombers will kick off their home schedule on May 26th, as they play host to the reigning champion Lakeshore Chinooks.  Highlights of the 2015 schedule include rivalry games with the Kalamazoo Growlers on May 28th, June 29th, July 13th, and July 31st.  The team also has three unique day games planned on May 27th (12:05 PM), June 2nd (10:05 AM), and July 13th (11:05 AM).  The team will wrap up their home slate on Sunday August 2nd (6:05 PM), before finishing the regular season on a 6-game road trip.
