Battle Creek, Mich. – Rain and unplayable field conditions forced the postponement of the Battle Creek Bombers and Madison Mallards Saturday night matchup.

The Bombers and Mallards will resume Saturday's game, which is currently in the bottom of the first, at 4:05 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon. Twenty minutes after the conclusion of the full nine-inning game one, the two teams will wrap up their series with a seven-inning game two.

Tonight's game was suspended in the bottom of the first after Lin Li (Taiwan) singled in Brennon Lund (BYU) with one out in the first, giving Battle Creek a 1-0 lead. The game will resume in the bottom of the first tomorrow with one out, Dre Gleason (Austin Peay) at the plate, Dan Swain (Siena) on second, and Li on first.

Fans with tickets to today's game can use them for tomorrow's doubleheader or any future 2015 Bombers home game.

The Battle Creek Bombers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (BOS) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
