Fans have opportunity to win season tickets and see stadium renovations

BATTLE CREEK, MI. – The Battle Creek Bombers will host its first annual “Swing for Your Seats” competition at this year’s open house event, taking place May 22 at 1 p.m. Fans can try hitting a homerun in the newly renovated C.O. Brown Stadium for the chance to win free season tickets as well as additional prizes. Fans will be able to see the recently completed stadium renovations, meet the Bombers new coaching staff, and partake in family-friendly games and activities on the field.

Fans can put down a 20 percent deposit or more on any one of a variety of season ticket or mini-plans to participate in Swing for Your Seats. The amount of swings each fan will receive is dependent upon the ticket package being purchased. If a fan should indeed hit a homerun, their package will be free, courtesy of the Battle Creek Bombers. For those unable to hit one out of the park, hitting a field target will also grant participants various team prizes.

“We’re excited to kick off our tenth anniversary season in style with this family-friendly event and unique promotion,” Tony Iovieno, Bombers general manager, said. “It will be a great opportunity to introduce our fans to a newly renovated ballpark, a new mascot, a new coaching staff and brand new ticketing plans that are better than ever.”

Those in attendance will also be the first fans to purchase and sample the Bombers new ballpark food and beverage selections, including the recently released Cheboygaroni and Cheese.

Fans will also be able to take advantage of bounce houses and games for kids set up on the field. New Coach Bryan Moses and his staff will conduct a short baseball clinic for children on site and mingle with guests.

The team will open their gates for the first time this season at 1 p.m. on May 22, and Swing for Your Seats kicks off at 2 p.m.
