The Battle Creek Bombers welcome in right-handed pitchers Conor Bowers and Thomas Shook from Oakland University. This recruiting update is presented by OnStaff Group.
Conor Bowers: 6'3", 195, RHP, Bats/R, Throws/R, Oakland University, (Jr.), Birmingham, Mich.
Bowers, a 6-foot-3 redshirt sophomore from Birmingham, Mich., signs with the Bombers for his first season. Attending Orchard Lake St. Mary's High School, the right-handed pitcher earned all-district, all-region and all-league selections during his junior and senior seasons. He was an academic all-league honoree for two seasons and a member of the district championship team. Army recruited Bowers out of high school.
TJ Shook: 6'3", 205, RHP, Bats/L, Throws/R, Oakland University, (Jr.), Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
Shook, a 6-foot-3 redshirt junior will play his first season with the Bombers. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native spent two seasons at the University of Michigan prior to Oakland. Last season at Michigan, the right-hander made four appearances, striking out seven batters in five and one-third innings. Shook attended high school at University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy, where he was named to second team all-state as a senior. He also compiled an 8-1-1 record with 115 strikeouts in 66 innings pitched. Shook was a two-time all-Catholic league selection and a Rawlings Central Region honorable mention.
