Former Pitcher Joins Front Office

The Battle Creek Bombers add former player Dan Holcomb to their front office staff as a Corporate Sponsorship Manager.  Holcomb comes from Huntington University where he is completing his degree in management and marketing.  The Homer, Michigan native played for the Bombers from 2008-2010.  Holcomb was an integral part of the 2009 pitching staff, going 5-2 with a 2.82 ERA and helping the team to the best record in the Bombers history.

While attending the University of Evansville, Holcomb sold Indiana Pacers tickets through a university partnership with the basketball orgainization.  In 2008-2009, Holcomb ranked third out of 33 students selling tickets in the Evansville, Indiana area.  Also while at the University of Evansville, Holcomb, along with three classmates, started their own business called “Student Savers.”  The business was started to give college students discounts at the businesses they frequented the most.

Holcomb has also worked at baseball camps for the University of Evansville, Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids Diamonds Sports Training Facility, and the Battle Creek Bombers Baseball Organization.

“I am extremely excited to join the Bombers staff and remain in the Bombers family.” Holcomb said.  “I am greatful for the opportunity that Brian and the Bombers have given me and am ready to help the orgainization prepare for the upcoming season.”
