“Pops” Returning to Logger Radio Network

(LA CROSSE, WI) The familiar voice of John Pappadapoulos will continue to reach the homes of Logger fans in 2009. Team officials announced that “Pops” will return for his seventh season at the mic.

“Pops” will once again call the action of all 68 regular season games on the Logger Radio Network and is the longest tenured play-by-play man in the Northwoods League. Pappadopoulos has seen and called every Logger game but one since the
Loggers inception in 2003.

“Pops” served as the voice of the La Crosse Night Train of the N.I.F.L. and before that served as the backup voice of the La Crosse Bobcats CBA basketball team. For the past five years, he has also worked as the news and sports director at WCOW/WKLJ. Before coming to the Coulee Area, the New Jersey native worked in Boston as an on-air sports caster on Sports Radio WEEI.

During his eleven years in broadcasting he has worked as a reporter or broadcaster for three different Minor League baseball teams and the Loggers. John met his wife, Polly, when he moved to La Crosse in 2000 and they have a daughter named Olivia.
