Bullfrogs Sign Talented WKU Hilltopper

(GREEN BAY, WI) The Green Bay Bullfrogs Baseball Club announced that talented Western Kentucky outfielder Jared Andreoli has signed to play for the Bullfrogs this summer.

Andreoli is a 5-foot-11, 175 pound homegrown talented – Sturtevant, Wis. – player who is a part-time starter for the Sun Belt Conference leading Hill Toppers. He has played in 25-of-30 contests and is third on the team batting an impressive .372 at the plate. Andreoli has also driven in 20 runs; scored 23 times, recorded three doubles and has a .474 slugging percentage.

“Jared (Andreoli) is another highly touted prospect that we could have in Green Bay for a couple of summers,” Bullfrogs Owner and President Jeff Royle said. “He has power at the plate and incredible speed.”

Western Kentucky was chosen in a preseason poll voted on by its coaches to win the Sun Belt Conference. Last season WKU won the conference tournament and earned a trip to the NCAA Regional Tournament.

“Coach (Chris) Finwood and his staff at Western Kentucky have built a solid baseball program over the years,” Bullfrogs’ Field Manager Ron Nedset said. “Top college prospects have a lot of playing options available to them in the summer and we are excited to have Jared (Andreoli) as part of our team this year and we look for him to make contributions both offensively and with his defense.”

Andreoli graduated from Union Grove HS where he was a two-time all-state selection for the Broncos, as well as earning Southern Lakes Conference Player of the Year honors. During his senior year, he batted .424 to go with two round trippers, 17 RBI and 27 runs scored. He also stole 28 bases in 20 games.
