‘Chucks Ink Two More From Creighton

(WAUSAU, WI) Jimmy Swift and Jonas Dufek of Creighton University will be joining current teammate Carson Vitale in Wausau this summer. All three have signed on to play for the Wisconsin Woodchucks, who open their season on May 28th in Eau Claire.

Swift is a 6’2” sophomore infielder from West Des Moines, IA. He earned baseball all-state honors during his junior and senior years at Dowling Catholic High School. Swift has started all 29 games for the Bluejays this spring and is hitting .333 with three home runs and 22 RBI.

Dufek is a 6’5”, 210 lb. right-handed pitcher from Omaha, NE. In his sophomore season thus far, he has pitched in eight games including six starts. Dufek has a 4.10 ERA in 37.1 innings pitched and carries a 25:8 strikeout to walk ratio.

Swift and Dufek are also current teammates of former Woodchucks Darin Ruf, Vicente Cafaro, and Zak Moore at Creighton.
