Jayhawk 3B Signs with Honkers

(ROCHESTER, MN) The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced the signing of Tony Thompson, a 6’5” 225-pound sophomore infielder from the University of Kansas.

Currently Thompson is helping the Jayhawks to their 18-12 start by hitting .375 with a team-high 12 doubles, eight home runs and 36 RBI. He’s been the regular third baseman for the Jayhawks this year.

As a freshman, Thompson played in 53 games, starting 51 at 3rd base. He finished the season hitting .276 with 5 home runs and 18 RBI.
