FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Date: April 10, 2009

Bucks Sign Two More

(WATERLOO, IA) The Waterloo Bucks announced the signing of two more players with the additions of Dallas Baptist University’s Jason Krizan and Jared Wagoner of Butler University.

Krizan, a 6’1″, 180-pound sophomore joins fellow Dallas Baptist Patriot Ryan Goins on the Bucks’ 2009 roster.

Through 27 games Krizan is hitting a lofty .337 with seven home runs and 39 RBI.

Bucks’ field manager Pete Lauritson is glad Krizan chose Waterloo for his summer baseball.

“Krizan is another talented DBU player that we are extremely lucky to have sign with us this summer,” said Lauritson. “He was one of the best pure hitters in the state of Texas coming out of high school and with teaching from the DBU staff he is going to have a productive summer for the Bucks.”

A native of Pflugerville, TX, Krizan played his high school ball at Pflugerville High School where he earned 1st Team All-District honors as a junior and a senior after batting .478 and .415 respectively.

Wagoner, a 6’2″, 185-pound sophomore becomes the fifth hurler added to the 2009 staff.

As a freshman for the Butler Bulldogs, Wagoner led the team with 17 relief appearances in 2008, where he had 18 strikeouts in 24.1 innings pitched.

Currently second on the team in ERA at 6.66, Wagoner has appeared in nine games striking out 19 in 24.1 innings.

“Wagoner has a talented arm and his coaches really liked his development from his freshman to sophomore season,” said Lauritson. “The velocity is there and we are going to give him the innings he needs to develop into a complete pitcher, I think it will be fun to watch just how good he can get.”

A native of Vincennes, IN, Wagoner played his high school ball at South Knox High School where he was a four-year letter winner, two-time all-conference selection, and three-time all-area selection.
