St. Louis Slugger Signs with Rochester

(Rochester, MN)-The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of Danny Brock, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound junior infielder from Saint Louis University.  Brock will see most of his action at first base this summer and may see some time on the mound.

Currently Brock is hitting .338 with 11 doubles and 27 RBIs.  He has started 39 games for the 21-20 Billikens.  St. Louis heads to Charlotte, NC this weekend for a 3-game conference set against the UNC Charlotte starting Friday.

Brock came to St. Louis from Northeastern CC (Sterling, CO).  He was a two-time All-Conference and All-District selection.  He finished his sophomore season hitting .407 with 5 home runs, 41 RBIs and did not allow an earned run on the mound in 11 2/3 innings and picked up 4 saves.  Brock played for the Laramie Colts of the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League last summer and won the league’s home run derby.  His father, Greg Brock, played 10 years in the Major Leagues beginning with the Los Angeles Dodgers and finishing his career with the Milwaukee Brewers.
