Mallards add seating in the Great Dane Duck Blind without affecting capacity

Also new for 2009: The Great Dane Duck Blind Club

Madison, WI –  The Mallards are excited to announce the team will add 20 percent more general admission seating in the Great Dane Duck Blind without changing capacity or ticket prices for the 2009 season. The addition is in direct response to fan surveys taken last fall which showed 65 percent of fans who attended the Duck Blind thought the one change that would improve the area would be more general admission seating. The Mallards will re-locate the visiting team bullpen and turn that space into additional room for picnic tables and bench seating with great field level views of the action. There will now be nearly 900 seats available on a first-come-first-serve basis compared to approximately 700 in 2008.  The expansion will also provide more space for access to the Duck Blind concession area, which will speed up service for all fans on the deck.

New Duck Blind Club Level to offer premium Duck Blind experience

Last year’s popular addition to the Great Dane Duck Blind, which featured the opportunity to reserve picnic tables for eight people at field level right behind the RF wall, will be turned into the Great Dane Duck Blind Club seating area in 2009!  The area will have its own private food, soda & beer offerings available just a few steps from any of the reserved tables in the area.  Gone are the days of trying to maneuver through the crowd to the Duck Blind food and beer serving windows.  The area will also feature daily food specials not available anywhere else in the Duck Pond from a shrimp boil on Sunday’s to a homemade BBQ sampler on Monday’s and more.  Here is a complete lineup of the food specials:

Sunday: Boyer’s Special Shrimp Boil

Monday: Homemade BBQ Sampler

Tuesday: Taco Bar

Wednesday: Homemade BBQ Sampler

Thursday: Taco Bar

Friday: Gumbo

Saturday: Lasagna
