Brett Mitchell Returns to the Honkers
(Rochester, MN)-The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the Brett Mitchell, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound right handed pitcher from Iowa Central Community College will return to the Honkers line up this summer. The sophomore from Lakeville, MN was a mid-season signee last summer for Rochester.
Currently Mitchell is 5-2 with a 1.84 ERA. He has struck out 54 in 49.0 innings and held opponents to a .215 batting average against. Mitchell struck out a season high 13 batters versus the Kirkwood Eagles on March 28th in the 0-2 loss.
Last summer, Mitchell finished the Honkers season with 24 strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched. He made 14 total relief appearances, starting on July 1st and ended the season 0-2 with a 3.72 ERA and 1 save.
As a freshman at Iowa Central, Mitchell posted a 2-2 record with a 4.31 ERA. He made 18 total appearances striking out 48 in 39.2 innings of work.
