Express Sign Three Pitchers

Eau Claire, Wis. – May 13, 2009 – Eau Claire Express field manager Dale Varsho announced today the addition of three pitchers to his 2009 roster. Joining the Express will be San Diego State University left-hander Craig Rasmussen, Central Michigan University right-hander Devan Kline and University of Texas of the Permian Basin right-hander Drew Kendrick. The trio brings the Express roster to 25 with just over two weeks until the opener.

Rasmussen is a 6-foot-1-inch, 190-pound sophomore for the Aztecs. He has posted a 1-1 record and a 3.50 earned run average this spring in ten appearances including one start. Rasmussen appeared in 13 games as a freshman and had a 3.50 ERA.

Kline is a 6-foot-2-inch, 200-pound junior. He has compiled a 2-1 record in 16 appearances covering 40 innings this spring for the Chippewas. Kline has a career 5-3 record in 36 appearances including eight starts.

Kendrick is a 6-foot, 160-pound junior and is returning for his third summer in Eau Claire. He pitched for the Express in 2006 and 2008 and has a 3-3 record and 3.59 ERA over that span. His 27 appearances rank fifth in team history. Kendrick has a 3-2 record in 15 appearances including five starts this spring for the Falcons.
