Game on!  The teams, staff, scouts and fans have arrived in Thunder Bay, Ontario and the 2009 Northwoods League All-Star activities are officially under way.

A combine for players from across the league starts at noon followed by the Home Run Derby scheduled for 4:00pm.  First pitch for the All-Star Game is scheduled for 6:05pm*.

The Home Run Derby will feature eight participants; four representing each division.  Each player will receive 8 outs in the first round with the top two players advancing to the second round.  Representing the visiting South Division are Aaron Gates (La Crosse), Riley Henricks (Green Bay), Harold Riggins (Madison) and Ben Long (Wisconsin).  The North Division sends Corey Jones (Rochester), Adam Courcha (Thunder Bay), Nick Longmire (St. Cloud) and Mike O’Neill (Alexandria) to the plate to defend the home field.

The 2009 All-Star Roster is posted on www.northwoodsleague.com and information will be updated throughout the day.
