Chris Engell (San Diego) of La Crosse launched a game-winning 3-run home run with two outs in the ninth inning to cap off a 5-run ninth for the Loggers in their wild 11-10 victory against Waterloo. The Bucks had taken a 4-run lead with a 7-run inning in the top of the ninth, but Engell’s homer kept the Loggers in first place. It was Engell’s only hit of the game. His teammate Rob Brantly (California-Riverside) went 4-for-5 with a home run.
